Other school settings
Performed by the School Administration (Principal, Vice-principal, Administrator):
The educational institution administration has the ability to perform certain additional settings. To do this, the user must go to the "Settings" section → "Other". (Fig. 1)
On this page, there are several available settings, such as:
- Parental request auto-approve;
- Restricted teacher access to the Gradebook based on the schedule;
- Lesson editing period (days);
- Teachers' access to library management;
- Maximum number of annual vacations days;
- Maximum number of days off;
- Enable vacation editing for teachers;
- Maximum number of extra vacation days;
- Percentage of missed lessons per day.
Parent request auto-approve
In this section, the institution's administrator can choose one of the options: "Enabled" or "Disabled" for parental request auto-confirmation. If auto-confirmation is enabled, any parent requesting to add their child to their account will automatically receive confirmation and see it in their personal cabinet. If auto-confirmation is disabled, parents awaiting their child's addition to their account will wait until the class teacher confirms it.
Restricted teacher access to the Gradebook based on the schedule
In this section, the institution's administrator also chooses one of the options: "Enabled" or "Disabled" for restricting teachers' access to the gradebook according to the schedule. If the administrator restricts access, the teacher will only have access to their own gradebook(s) but will not be able to open another teacher's gradebook.
Lesson editing period (days)
In this section, the administrator enters the number of days during which a teacher can edit the lesson theme, grades, homework, and other lesson information. After this period, the column with this lesson is automatically blocked for editing.
Teachers' access to library management
In this section, the institution's administrator can choose one of the options: "Enabled" or "Disabled" for teachers' access to library management. If access is enabled, teachers can add books they need, i.e., upload them to the platform in the "Library" section. However, if this setting is disabled, teachers can only view and read books that have already been uploaded to the portal.
Maximum number of annual vacation days
In this field, the administration specifies the maximum number of annual leave days for teachers.
Maximum number of days off
The administration specifies in a special field the maximum number of days off a teacher is entitled to.
Enable vacation editing for teachers
In this section, the institution's administrator can choose one of the options: "Enabled" or "Disabled." If the option is enabled, teachers can plan their vacations in advance. If this option is disabled, the administration of the educational institution plans vacations for teachers.
Maximum number of extra vacation days
In this special field, the administration specifies the maximum number of additional leave days a teacher is entitled to.
Percentage of missed lessons per day
This field sets the percentage of missed lessons by a student per day. For example, the administration sets a limit of 50% of missed lessons per day. Thus, when a student is absent for 3/6 lessons or more, it is automatically recorded in the attendance gradebook that the student was absent for the entire day.
