Closing the academic year

ℹ️ To close the academic year, you need to log in to the platform using an Administrator/Principal/Assistant Principal account.

To close the academic year, navigate to the "Settings""Academic years" section. Then, to the right of the current academic year, click the "Actions" button (button "...") and select the option "Close".

A new page opens containing 4 steps to close the academic year.

Step 1 is information that all data from the current academic year will be archived.

Step 2 requires entering information about the graduating Sections of the current academic year, namely the names of the Sections and the reasons for their graduation, then click the "Next" button.

Step 3 is transferring students to the next Sections. That is, you need to select from the list the next Section and the teacher assigned as the class teacher for the next academic year to the corresponding Section.

At the bottom of the page there are two buttons: the "Back" button to return to the previous step, and the "Next" button to proceed after filling in the information on this page.

The final Step 4 is to review all entered data from the previous steps and actually close the year. If you are sure the entered information is correct, just click the "Close academic year" button.

The system will ask you to confirm your actions to prevent mistakes and unwanted actions. If you are certain the academic year can be closed, confirm by clicking the "Yes" button.

After successfully closing the year, the "Academic years" page will display the closed academic year with the status "Archive", and a new academic year will be automatically created with the status "Active".

Also, the school administration can view all information from the previous academic year in the "Archive" Section.
