Creating a Chat Room

⚠️ This feature is available only to registered users of the educational institution.

Goal

Create a new chatroom and invite users from your educational institution to it.

Steps

  1. Open the "Chat Rooms" page.
  2. Click the "Create Chat" button.
  3. In the pop-up window, enter the chat name.
  4. Select the chat type: text, video chat, or webinar.
  5. Choose the sections/subsections with which you want to create the chat room. You can select multiple sections at once.
  6. After selecting a section, the list of students will populate automatically.
  7. Click "Submit".
  8. To invite students to the new video chat room, click the context menu button on the right and select "Invite".
  9. The invitation link will be copied to the clipboard. You can send it to the students.
  10. The chatroom can be edited via the context menu on the right by selecting the "Edit" option.
  11. If a message was sent by mistake, it can be deleted in the chat by clicking the three-dot icon to the left of the message and selecting "Remove".
